Past Grand Worthy President Frank E. Hering made the first public plea for a national day to honor our mothers in 1904.

After years of lobbying by the Eagles, the second Sunday of May was officially designated 'Mother's Day' by proclamation by President Woodrow Wilson in 1911.

The Morris Aerie #620 of Fraternal Order of Eagles is celebrating its 100th anniversary serving the Morris, Hancock, Cyrus, Chokio-Alberta, and Donnelly communities. To celebrate, the Morris Aerie is hosting a COMMUNITY WEEKEND CELEBRATION June 4-6, 2004 in Morris, Minnesota.

The Eagles hopes you will join us in celebrating our community in the many fun and entertaining events.
